Bubbling, gurgling, knocking – if you turn up the radiators for heating at the beginning of the cold season and notice unusual noises, air bubbles trapped in the heating water are often the reason behind it.
Take an ordinary string and wrap it around the nozzle of the tap. The thread should be long enough to reach the bottom of the sink or washbasin.
A dripping tap can also be caused by a calcified seal. To prevent new calcification, you should wrap the aerator and the sealing ring in a cloth soaked in vinegar overnight every few months. This dissolves even the smallest calcifications and ensures a good water flow in the long term.
